Our curriculum at Pack 765 follows the standard Cub Scouting Program which encourages family involvement. Most of the events involve the family in one fashion or another. This is the core of our organization and is highly encouraged. Family involvement gives our scouts quality time with the participating member as well as an enjoyable and memorable experience.
The Cub Scout Program is composed of boys from first through fifth grades into groups called Dens. The Dens are composed of no more than 8 boys within the same grade group. All the Dens within the program make up the Pack. The pack meets as a group monthly as Sage Canyon Elementary , MUR. The meetings typically last one hour with a theme during that particular gathering. During the reunion, scouts are recognized for their accomplishments and are acknowledged with awards. At the same time, events are held along with family members involvement. The program runs for a term of one full year. For Pack 765, the duration of the curriculum is from September through June (follows school year calendar).
Monthly activities include a Pack event and a Pack meeting; each Den also meets and has activities to complete. Because the program is supported and organized by volunteers, we highly encourage family involvement in each activity. We encourage each of our scoutsÂ’ families to participate in at least one event during the year. Please consider giving your time to participate in the activities as well as any of the leadership positions that are available in our Pack.
The advancement program for Boy Scouts include a series of activities that each scout meets monthly First grades start as Tiger Cubs, second grades become Wolfs, third grades are Bears, and fourth and fifth graders become Webelos. Webelos work towards earning their Arrow of Light Award resulting in the completion of the Cub Scouting experience in a joint ceremony with the Cub Scout Pack and the Boy Scout Troop. The yearly program includes activities in which our scouts learn by participating and accomplishing achievements towards their advancement. Pack 765 has a great year full of activities each month for your family and your scout to enjoy. We appreciate your interest in our Pack and look forward to see you each month.
